The Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine is the largest mother-child centre in Canada and one of the largest pediatric centres in the Americas. The centre has 5,000 employees consisting of physicians, dentists and pharmacists as well as other healthcare professionals. These people work in an environment that is highly innovative, where knowledge is generated and shared every day, while placing patients and their families at the core of their practice.
Need:
With a planned expansion in floor area of more than 40 percent over five years, the communications challenges within the walls of CHU Sainte-Justine were daunting: temporary relocation of departments, public notices, infection prevention campaigns, services delivered within the facility, etc. CHU Sainte-Justine therefore had a growing need to communicate in real time with users of its facility.
Solution:
Installation of eight large LCD screens in various locations to reach the two main types of hospital users: clients (patients and visitors) and staff. The solution lets the communications department adapt communications based on the time of day, day of the week and the various hospital rooms.
Impact :
M’Pact’s digital signage solution allows the communications department to respond quickly and more effectively in its intramural communications while reducing perceived waiting time in the emergency room.
